The concept of “street sense” is the ability to sail through challenging situations with confidence, common sense and discernment; it is often associated with urban environments and marginalized communities. However, street sense is not limited to any particular context or demographic. It is a universal skill set that can benefit both the male and female gender from all walks of life.
The society we live in associates kindness with weakness and assertiveness is mistaken for aggression, we therefore need to redefine what it means to be a “good girl”.
“Street Sense for Good Girls” is not about becoming tough or hard-hearted; it is about developing the skills and instincts to thrive and navigate in a complex world with confidence, compassion, and wisdom, while staying true to our identity, values and faith.
